Using a variety of micrometerological measures, the lab explores the fate and transport of plumes generated from agricultural operations. Studies to date have included dust from cotton tillage, pesticide spray dispersion and smoke from sugarcane burning.

Lidar

Light detection and ranging is a remote sensing technique that can measure aersols in three dimensions. The lab uses lidar to track plumes from a vaerity of sources and develops new algorithms for integrating lidar data with more tradiational data sources.

The Great American Eclipse

 

What happens to the Boundary Layer during a Total Solar Eclipse?  Gravity waves? Inversions? Photosynthetic changes? On August 21st we hope to find out!
